The ministry of higher education and scientific research KRG stated that out of 49018 students, 31 thousand students, of the 12th level from both branches and who had applied earlier by; special applying and the online system- Zankoline, have been accepted in the universities and governmental institutions for the academic year 2016- 2017.

The statement also declared that the lowest average accepted in the universities and institutions of the region was 68.18 and 60% for the special applying.
